Privacy Notice
Effective: October 30, 2026
Operator
- Operator: Robert Guida, independent consultant, United States.
- Scope: robguida.com and my booking page.
Information Collected
- Booking page: name, email address, phone number, city, and state or country. Company name, website, company size and tech team size. Whether you approve the spend, your timeline, what you want to discuss, and the video service you pick.
- Every visit: the web server logs record the IP address, the time, and the page requested. They may also record the browser type and the page that linked here.
Use
- Bookings: used only to review the request, including the company check, and to prepare for and hold the call.
- Logs: used only to run the site, to stop abuse, and to count visits and clicks on the booking link.
- Not used for: marketing lists, advertising, or sale or rental to anyone.
Recipients
- Amazon Web Services: hosts the site and runs the company check. Amazon SES delivers company-check summaries to my inbox.
- Booking service: the outside company that runs the booking page. It receives what is entered there.
- Microsoft: runs my email and calendar. Provided through GoDaddy.
- Video calls: you pick one when you book. Cal Video is run by the booking service, Teams by Microsoft, Zoom by Zoom, and Google Meet by Google. The one you pick runs the call and receives the meeting details, which can include your name, email address and booking answers.
- Company check: domain registries, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's public filings database, Google and Anthropic receive only the company name, its website or a web domain. Details: Company Check.
- Legal requests: information is disclosed when the law requires it.
Retention
- Web server logs: deleted after 14 days.
- Server backups: each kept no more than 7 days. Deleted logs and company-check data can remain in a backup for up to 7 more days.
- Company check: working data deleted within 7 days; check records deleted after 30 days. Details: Company Check.
- Bookings, email and calendar: kept as business records. Deleted on request, unless needed for legal or tax reasons.
Company Check
- What my server keeps: when you book, the booking service sends my server a copy of the booking. My server keeps only the company name and website as you typed them, your email's domain (the part after the @), scrambled (hashed) codes made from your email address and from the booking's ID, the booking times, the number of people booked, and the check's own reference number, codes and results. It does not keep your name, your full email address, or your other answers.
- Use: to spot fake bookings, and to learn about the company before the call. The check compares your email's domain with the company's website. It looks up how long the company's domain has been registered, its public business listing, and its public filings if it is publicly traded. It also gets a short AI-written summary of public facts about the company. The check is about the company. It does not search for you by name.
- Recipients: domain registries receive web domain names. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's public filings database may be asked for the company's filings, only if its name matches a publicly traded company. Google may receive the company name, to find its business listing. Anthropic, an AI service, receives the company name and website, and searches the web for public facts about the company. Anthropic's business terms bar it from training its AI on what it receives.
- Result: a score and a short summary, emailed only to me through Amazon SES. The email does not include your name, your full email address, or your other answers.
- No automatic decisions: the check never cancels, blocks or changes a booking, and its score is not shown on the booking page. A low score only means I take a closer look myself, for example on LinkedIn. Any decision about a booking is mine.
- Retention: working data is deleted once the summary is sent, and is never kept more than 7 days. The check record (the hashed email code, the company's web domain, the score and its label, and the times) and the hashed booking-ID code are deleted after 30 days. The summary email is kept with my other email, as a business record.
- Link, not embed: the booking page stays on the booking service's own site, and this site only links to it. The check runs between the booking service and my server. It adds no scripts or cookies to this site, and nothing to your browser.
- Earlier bookings: bookings made before October 6, 2026 are not checked.
Cookies and Tracking
- Cookies on this site: none.
- Advertising tools: none.
- Visit counts: I count visits from the web server logs, on my own server, with a free tool (GoAccess). I see totals only: which pages were opened, how many times the booking link was clicked, which sites linked here, and browser types. IP addresses are shortened before counting, so no visitor is identified. No script or cookie is involved, and no outside company receives anything that identifies a visitor.
- Tracking across websites: no advertising or analytics company collects information on this site.
- Do Not Track: the site works the same way whether or not a browser sends a Do Not Track signal. It runs no tracking to turn off.
- Other sites: the booking page, the video call services and LinkedIn are run by other companies. Their privacy notices apply there, including to any cookies.
Confidential Information
- Do not send confidential, health or financial information, or passwords, through the booking page.
- A booking does not create a confidentiality agreement.
Requests
- To see, correct, or delete your information: send a LinkedIn message.
- Confirmation: a request may need to be confirmed from the email address used to book.
- Reply time: within 30 days.
Children
- This site is for business buyers. It is not directed to children under 13, and their information is not knowingly collected.
Changes
- New versions are posted on this page with a new effective date.
- Information already collected is not used in a new way without asking first.
